I know that it sounds like a should simple do more touch typing practice, and maybe that is the answer, but the problem is that when I do exercises online I actually have pretty good accuracy. That includes typing practice in code and not just English. I am hoping that some of you might have suggestions or ideas that I have not thought of.
(you have no idea how many times I hit backspace while writing this!)
There seem to be a whole lot of platforms out there to do collaborative coding interview online. Many seem to look essentially the same: left side an editor, right side a terminal, and a green 'run' button to build (if necessary) and execute. Supporting audio and video is a bug plus. But I haven't found any that allow you to include things like supporting code or datafiles. I want to give candidates a chance to show how they work in a more realistic environment rather than transferring classic whiteboard problems on a new platform. Part of that, for me, involves providing some support code that they may or may not have the source code for.
Any suggestions welcomed!
I have been interested in better understanding the belief propagation algorithm for a while. There are some good resources out there but nothing has really filled in all the details for me. I guess the thing that I would really like to better understand is how this would be implemented in code. Christopher Bishop has a good explanation of how it works in his book 'pattern recognition and machine learning' but I can't quite wrap my head around the notion of passing functions as messages. One thing I am not sure of: is this message passing of functions merely descriptive or is that what you explicitly need to do?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
But I am having difficulty in identifying which specific areas or terms to use. I think the problem is that I am putting the cart before the horse -- that I need to identify a need in a particular market in order to know what kinds of math and software businesses would find useful. But I'm not sure how to do that. How do you figure out what needs or wants a business has? I know this is pretty elementary marketing but I really have no idea what the first step in such a process would be.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Does anyone have any experience of advice for using the ARM compute library?
