However, the more jobs I added, the harder I made it for people to find the best match.
The job "discovery" process became harder.
And this is a problem for almost all job boards.
Frankly, many job boards keep the discovery process only at the category level (e.g., marketing jobs, sales jobs).
Over the last month, I set a new goal.
Not only to provide a wide selection of remote jobs but to help people easily discover those jobs.
To make the discovery process easier, I used AI.
I wanted to make the job discovery process as easy as possible.
You just set the job match criteria once and then receive the best matching jobs in your inbox.
Today, I am launching this feature on PH - https://www.producthunt.com/posts/dream-remote-job-alert
Now, you can set a remote job alert, and with the help of AI, I score each job based on your alert settings. And only the jobs that score very high on your criteria are shared with you.
Hopefully, it help job seekers.
Google uses several signals to identify if a page they sent people to is high value or not.
One of the important signals Google uses is time spent on a page.
This experiment is tied to time spent on-page and has contributed to over 100% uptick in Google organic traffic in the last two weeks.
It is a straightforward experiment that does require you to have some programming knowledge and create webpages or a blog using code (e.g., HTML/CSS, Javascript)
I used this with a blog, but you can use it with any webpage.
The task is simple →
When someone lands on a webpage (or a blog post in my experiment) give them a few tasks to do. Typically, people like checking off tasks.
And while accomplishing tasks, they increase their time on your site.
Here are two examples:
1. Blog post with 101 Remote Work Stats with stat tracker. I created a simple tracker on the right side of the blog post that tells people how many stats they have seen out of the 101.
Before publishing this "Statistics Seen" tracker, on average, people spent 25 seconds on this blog post.
After incorporating the "Statistics Seen" tracker, they are spending about 1 minute and 15 seconds.

2. Blog post on Video Interviewing Tips with todos. Again, several websites provide such tips.
I created a list of 20 tips, broke them in three categories
The todo of seeing tips in each category is automatically tracked based on user scrolling.
Again, the time spent on this blog post increased. Initially, people only scrolled up to 33% of the blog post before the todo was on the site, now the average scroll is 80% of the page.

Just launched a remote job board on ProsperCircle.org - https://www.prospercircle.org/
Now, before you say another job board. Take a second to read why I created another remote job board.
There are three reasons listed here - https://www.prospercircle.org/about
However, the TL;DR of the three reasons (squished in 2 bullet points) is:
1. The ProsperCircle.org tool uses NLP to analyze each job post to identify skills in the job. Applicants can glance over the skills and see if they match these skills and consider adding them to their resume. This is to help with Applicant Tracking System screening.

2. I'm only listing jobs from leading organizations and exciting startups. My goal is not to have a job board with the most extensive job listings, but have to have the highest quality remote jobs available anywhere on the web. Granted, this is a bit of a judgement thing. But think of it as I'm trying to do leg work to help people find interesting remote job opportunities.
Would be amazing to read your feedback and suggestions.
Thank you.
