The position is for senior IC and I would love to work there because the work is super interesting and would look very well in my resume. However, the company says they can't pay more in my country even though there's no single employee here and they pay higher salaries in other places. What is the best strategy to convince them to pay what I think I'm worth?
I would like to do something I'm proud of. As an entrepreneur, I suck at sales and networking (which are the most important things probably) and I am struggling to find a co-founder that complements me. As a programmer, I work as a web developer in a small startup. I like to read a lot and I try to keep learning new things every day, but I cannot find a place to put in practice everything I know. I would love to work on more challenging projects but sadly I live in Argentina where tech companies are practically non-existent.
It makes me a little sad to know that in spite of everything I know I'm not doing anything that makes me proud.
So, what can I do to improve my self?
After searching a lot I found that my best option was using a self-hosted CI, but Jenkins, the one I know best, is not an option because of the lack of memory in the Raspberry. So what I did was to create my own CI server in Golang that could run with really low memory usage and I thought it might be very useful for other people. I would relly love to offer it as a service or make it open source.
