I find myself more and more going to ask AI instead of going to man pages or docs, or even specialized books on these topics these days. How would you also as an author compete against that?

I find it very silly to ask me about my grades 20 years ago? and marking that as required? While I already have Bachelor of Engineering?

As a self-taught software engineer, I was heavily influenced by the following

- CS61a (Brian Harvey) followed by SICP course - Writings of Eric S. Raymond - CS61c (in progress) - Real World Haskell - Practical Common Lisp

These things have increased my impostor syndrome, but also were an eyeopener for so many wonderful things in this field. I'm curious what was it for you?

Who comes up with these names (and even worse renaming) and confusing everyone? .net, .net standard, .net core, .net framework, .net again?

I had the chance to do research on C#, F#, .NET (I must admit, I'm still confused with all the various names and versions), and ASP.NET (core?). I genuinely find the technology stack intriguing and am considering using it in a few side projects. If things progress well, I might propose it to my employer. What factors are hindering your adoption of .NET? Is it because of the Microsoft label? concerns about the desktop GUI support? License? Could it be related to tooling, or are software requirements and packaging considerations playing a role? or something else?

I just stumbled on this today and apparently some people advocate to use stored procedures for select, insert, update, and delete operations with the argument it helps to reduce network traffic, increases the performance and doesn't allow SQL injection?

What are your thoughts? and are you aware of any framework/library using such approach?
