My kids are just getting to the point where I need to manage several internet accounts (iCloud, Google, Amazon Kids) and parental controls settings across several devices (iPad, Alexa, Apple Watch).

It’s getting a bit confusing between passwords, content settings, notifications, payments, PINs etc.

What system do you use to keep this manageable in your household?

Like many of you, I am a visual thinker. When I’m thinking about or discussing a concept, I often create diagrams and animations in my head. These could range from technical to process to, honestly, whatever.

Often, it feels like if only I could get what’s in my brain onto a visual medium, it would lead to much more productive conversations and communications.

In the age of AI, are there any tools that you all are using for this purpose?

I've dabbled in functional programming languages over the years but never got around to getting good at any one of them. I want to change that this year and build up some expertise. The question is, what language should I pick?

Here's what I have dabbled in in the past -

* Haskell * OCaml * Clojure * F# * Elixir * Scala

What would you recommend? I want to be able to build simple CLI programs as well as use it for web application development (for hobby projects).

What does your morning look like from the time you wake up to the time you get to work?

How do you transition your mental mode from personal/family obligations to work? What do you do in the first 30 minutes of getting to work?

I work for a Series B enterprise SaaS startup with ~100 employees and we've been seeing an increased dependency on data over time. For example, there is a clear need for -

* Reliable operating metrics that don't change based on who is tasked with querying for it * Streamlining ad-hoc requests for product data for decision making / marketing * Using skills-set (w.r.t. handling data) across teams more effectively * Exploratory data analysis to find predictors for customer satisfaction in product usage data * Exploration of how data could be used to help existing customers (e.g. dashboard with key metrics that lead to better outcomes)

These are just some examples, though for me they point towards a need for central data organization with specific sub-teams that are tasked with key business needs -- data engineering, business intelligence and reporting, analysis and exploration etc.

What is your take on this? Is this thinking aligned with what you've done at your organization? What are the issues that this might create?
