I have managed tech start-ups around the world and now work in digital transformation and tech consultancy. I started working in tech back in 1992 with DOS, Clipper, Visual Basic, and Delphi, then moved into the first .COM boom, followed by mobile technologies.
I skipped the crypto and web3 boom, but I believe AI is the new internet, and it feels like 1999 all over again!
When transferring any cryptocurrency to another party, you must provide their name, country, and city. Some exchanges may even require additional information like passport numbers, though I haven't experienced this yet.
I've encountered these requirements with both Coinbase and Revolut.
While it's one thing to make a Bitcoin transfer to a friend or business, it's unclear how this system is supposed to work with crypto payment gateways.
These gateways provide a crypto address and wait for a set time to receive the payment. If delayed, the transaction times out since the price of Bitcoin will have changed—which is understandable.
The issue arises when exchanges like Coinbase require Travel Rule information that the payment gateway doesn't provide—causing the exchanges to pause the transfer until you provide it. In some cases up until now people are just filling in random info.
Revolut's response was simply that I must provide the personal details or risk losing my transferred money.
I'm seeking insights from anyone working in this sector about how this problem is being addressed. I've reached out to several payment gateways, but they seem confused since this regulation doesn't appear to be implemented in the US, where most gateways operate.
I found loads of options for coding up something yourself but I could not find an easy to use paid-for tool.
Key Requirements:
- CRM: To manage client relationships effectively. Billing Integration: Current use is Xero; seamless integration is a must.
- Marketing Tools: For campaigns and outreach.
- Ticketing System: For handling client queries and support.
- Process/Checklist Management: To streamline workflows.
- Client Portal: A secure space for tickets, documents, and an LMS.
We're looking for a solution ideally tailored for HR consultancies or similar professional services.
The aim is to have an integrated system rather than piecing together multiple tools. A solution like Suitedash seemed promising, especially price-wise, but fell short on its ticketing features.
Other Considerations:
- Scalability for business growth. - User-friendly for a team with varied tech skills. - Trial periods for hands-on evaluation. - Strong support and active user communities. - Budget is a consideration, and we're also keen on a platform that prioritizes data security and compliance with regulations like GDPR.
Has anyone here had success with such a platform or can point towards a solution that ticks these boxes?
Thank you in advance for any insights or advice you can provide.
