There used to be apps that let you access google voice from the menu bar, but they no longer exist or I couldn't find anything in the market so I created a simple website wrapper for google voice. You can check it out at voicenotifies.com. It allows you to quickly glance at the menu bar and see how many messages, missed calls and voicemails you have, you can also reply to messages. Let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements. I hope you find it useful. P.S. It's a mac app, if there is a lot of interest, I'll create a windows version. Thanks
This is a project I did to scratch my own itch. I have this problem of finishing an article I start reading; I can not abandon it however bad it is, don't ask me why. So I developed this extension for chrome where it tells you how much time it would take you to read an article. Sounds odd but for me Knowing the time investment I have to put in upfront would restrain me from mindlessly reading random articles.
