Let's say you're a small SaaS startup who's principal place of business is some state other than Texas. A patent troll brings a patent infringement suit against you in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. You already know that the deck is stacked against you because the court sides with plaintiffs 88% of the time[0]. Defending the suit would likely bankrupt the company.

So what should you do? Fight it? Ignore it[1]? Dissolve the company? Sell your soul to PatentShield? What's the least worst option?

Making new friends outside of school or work is difficult. Part of Facebook's mission is to "stay connected with friends" yet they're not leveraging their ubiquitous platform to make it easy for people in close proximity with similar interests to find each other. In my experience, what usually happens is you start off with a core group of "friends" from school (really acquaintances), add a few more so-called "friends" as time goes on, and you ultimately end up in a bubble with people you barely share anything in common with. The only alternative is to seek out "groups" of one kind or another but there's a lot more friction and effort required in that process. I'm sure if Facebook wanted to do this, they would have already. So what's stopping them? Why is Facebook the perfect platform for everyone's wackaloon uncle to share Breitbart articles on and not the spot to find someone to play Settlers of Catan with?

It's a data processing tool for relational databases that runs directly in the browser. It solves a common problem in minutes that took me hours in my last project. Definitely a scratch your own itch kind of thing.

I have a basic working demo and I'm looking for a collaborator to help get it to the finish line. JS and RDBMS experience will be necessary. To be clear -- this is just for fun, possibly to develop a working relationship to collaborate on bigger things in the future. It can be monetized but that's not the main goal.
