other distros and os, think the bsds especially openbsd, patch things out and make unilateral decisions for users often. why did debian get so called out but not these others when they do a same effect?

so many out there some not updated in a long time. what are your favorites or community recommendations for arg and config parsing and logging?

with big media collection how does hn find dupes or similar enough when it is super easy for hash to change based on one pixel or frame?

is there one that can lower the telemetry/net connections and manage services without breaking things like windows updates or other core os functions? i know of oo shutup but its not open source so unsure of trustworthy

also interested in something to make a classic start menu if possible. reg tweak i found didnt work.
