I'm not sure what rules are here. If a user must be over 13 as stated in terms & conditions, is it enough to prompt user to agree to terms before registration? Is there difference between 13 vs 18?
Which medium or source of information is the most crucial for you to make sense of current events and the world around you? I feel that the NY Times, CNN, and similar institutions are a shell of their formal selves, simultaneously destroyed by themselves and Trump. So what is the solution going forward? Everyone is talking about echo chambers distorting the views of people on the other side, but no one can talk about the echo chamber they live in.
My social circle mostly consists of affluent, upper middle class individuals with comfortable incomes. I can't speak for the 1%, but for my friends and colleagues from the 10%, discussing income inequality has become a sort of social signal to show that you yourself are too smart to be poor, but you still feel bad for all the unfortunate people that were left behind by capitalism. Does discussing inequality so much become a self fulfilling prophecy for the low-income strata? Does it simply benefit the current winners of the status quo?
