Will LLM be as transformative to businesses and workflows in large organizations (manufacturing, finance, biochem, agriculture, etc…) similar to what email and the internet were?

I see that the market strength of RAG-based solutions is in internal (proprietary) repositories of data.

I built a small one for publicly accessible documents but the models (or models with internet access) are gaining ground.

I wanted to hear more thoughts.

Does anyone know of a value assessment framework for internally developed/hosted software solutions? I'm curious about value a report/dashboard could generate in terms of business impact since and the insights it can drive. Not necessarily just from the time-saving/cost-efficiencies it could generate.
