What we are looking for: - Strong preference for freelancers or business owners that are Raman (rent) profitable. - Strong preference for programmers - We like social people who enjoy networking events and coming up with new ideas as well as executers who have proven track records. - Cool with having the occasional border hang out for the weekend (we had a few people we met from SXSW work out of our space this year).
Why Jersey City: - Great for starting businesses: Better taxes than NY, cheap individual health care, easy to register businesses and all taxes are online. - Very close to NYC - Great community, with lots of local activities (Volleyball, Kickball), art shows, underground movies and parties.
Who are we: - We are three guys supporting each other through three different businesses including recruitment, online retail, and internet marketing. We can trade services, if applicable. - We are still startups, but have been profitable for over 2 years now. - We have a great network in the NY area. - We love executing on profitable ideas. - We are all in our late 20s.
Email me at takrupp@gmail.com if interested. We can be flexible on move in date from immediate to 2-3 months out.
Would appreciate thoughts on who has worked for you, how to best pick an SEO contractor or any SEO people out there: We have money, a good little niche, if you would take on another client.
Thanks!
What are your favorite product colors? Couple of rules: 1) I need a Pantone Code, if at all possible. 2) Extra points if the color was implemented on anodized aluminum.
Our product uses the same aluminum anodizing process to add color as Apple does for its iPods. If anyone has the Pantone Codes for Apple's current product lines, those would be helpful!
Thanks!
Basically, want we want is if a user is coming from Canada, they go to our .ca domain. If they are in the UK or Western Europe they go to a .co.uk domain, and all customers in Latin America go to .com.br domain. All other traffic needs to just go to the .com domain.
We are on a pretty locked down shopping cart system and we need to preserve our SEO standings for the .com domain.
What I'm looking for is perhaps a plugin or applet that when a user goes to the .com domain if they are in one of the other regions they are redirected or a pop appears that tells them which site to go to.
Anything boilerplate out there that will do this for us? Any other solutions? Also, if they search our brand name and are in Canada, will the .ca domain be automatically at the top? Or will the .com domain, which has tons of links and content on it, always supersede the weaker country specific domains?
Since our new version is up, one major US news event has happened which is the hostage situation at the Discovery Channel.
We broke this story at 1:07PM EST on September 1st, 2010. We need to determine when other sources also published this event.
Any idea? How do I go about this?
We have a news related startup using a unique algorithm and right now we are trying to back test it against competing news organizations.
Yesterday, you all may have heard, there was a hostage situation at the Discovery Channel building. Our software picked up the story at 1:07pm EST. News reports say that the gunman entered the building at 1pm EST.
My question is: First, does anyone know if 1pm is accurate? I find it hard to believe he entered the building at exactly 1pm, but thats what all of the sources say.
Second: How can I find out when news organizations first reported the story after the fact? We are working on automating this using the NYT API, but thats not working now, and I'd like to find out how competitive our app is sooner rather than later.
It looks like we beat @BreakingNews though, this was their first tweet on the story: "Discovery Channel building near Washington evacuated after reports of gunfire, man with explosives"
Thanks!
She is a a school teacher (has July off, the month we'll have off), so what do we do or where do we go? It has to be crazy for us travelers, and more importantly special. Who has a place or a special idea?
Current setup: - Panasonic 2-line cordless phone (3 handsets plus base station) - Comcast Digital Voice
Needs for new setup: - Must support 4-lines plus. - Should be easy to install, hopefully wireless (I dont want to run a bunch of RJ11 or even 45 anywhere in the space, less wires the better) - Standard PBX functions: Hold music, extensions, call forwarding, conference calling - Preferably something expandable - We need 4 lines now, but it would be great to be able to build the same system out to 6 or 8+ lines.
I've been considering setting up a Asterisk PBX on an old netbook and then buying a few CISCO IP phones, connect them to a wireless router and then have a couple of cordless IP phones for roaming around the site. I think to do this though Ill need to get a new VOIP provider (I dont think Comcast will let me do this). This solution also seems pretty overkill and technically challenging. An easier solution would be very welcomed.
Ideally we'd spend around $1000 on the hardware, and under $200 per month for 4 phone lines. Thanks!
