Is there an AI app that can scan my room and give me different designs based on some text input of my choosing? Pinterest for such ideas is great but I'd like to see it in the context of my space.

I'm building a dev tool thats going to go out to other developers. The easy thing to do is to slap on google analytics. I don't know how google analytics is currently viewed in the dev world but I don't imagine it gets a lot of love. IDK, maybe I'm wrong.

In any case, could you recommend some alternatives I could use instead?

Is there a service/app/site that offers recommendations on other books based on the citations that are found in a book you liked?

I've started noticing that the books I have read and liked tend to mention authors of other books that I've read and liked. Tversky and Kahnemann come up in a lot of books as an example, I like to read non-fiction mostly. So that lead to new books by the two authors that I've enjoyed.

That got me thinking that you can possibly apply a type of pageRank algorithm to citations or toss the connections in a graph database and see the number of relationships between books (popularity based on citations) and work your way backwards from the books you liked to new books that are connected.

Wondering if you've ever come across something like that that you can recommend?

I submitted an App to the App Store on May 24th. It went "in review" May 31st. It's has been sitting "in review" since then. The issue, apart from no decision being made, is that there has been absolutely no contact from the Apple review team whatsoever.

I've opened about 10 support tickets with Apple, asked for a "status check" from the review team about 8 times and had numerous conversation with the tech support team. Problem is that the tech support team and the Apple Review Team are two separate entities. Tech support has been great (in telling me that there's not much they can do, but at least they answer the phone or a ticket) but the review team has said absolutely nothing to me, despite the numerous requests.

It's been a month now of just sitting and waiting. Tech team tells me there's nothing they can do, app review team won't get back to me and I'm getting pretty frustrated by the lack of communication...

Is there anything I can do? Has anyone had this issue before?

Help, advice...anything at this point is appreciated before I lose my mind.

I'm looking for advice on a subject that I have no knowledge about and I'm hoping someone in the community can shed some light on the best way to proceed with this.

Myself and a partner registered a Canadian corporation last month called "Picket Fence Games Inc." We did a NUANS report (Company name and trade-mark search reports from Industry Canada) and it returned a blank report meaning there was nothing remotely close to it in Canada.

Last week we released our first game for the iPad titled "Animal Scratch for Kids" in the Apple App Store.

Two days ago we received a Cease and Desist letter from a US game studio that our company name is infringing on their US registered trademark (for International Class 9) of "Picket Fences" for goods or services in the computer games industry. They have proceeded to contact Apple that our company infringes upon their registered trademark.

The case they make is that their "Picket Fences" trademark is very similar to our "Picket Fence" company name and that the word GAMES in our company's name and website must be disclaimed from a trademark perspective because it's the generic term for our company’s underlying products.

We never intentionally meant to dilute the brand name of one of their games by naming our company as such nor did we know that we were infringing on a trademark. I know that in legal terms the above statement means nothing but I just wanted to say this wasn't done on purpose in order for us to benefit from their success in any way.

Our money as a small startup can be spent in better ways than dealing with the legalities of this issue so my questions to you guys are:

Do we realistically stand a chance of wining this case against this company? DO we even have a case? How do we make sure this doesn't happen again?

If this is the case for any trademark in the world and we are dealing with an App Store that sells to the entire world this would mean that any person in the entire world with a trademark could potentially shut down any company. How can we protect ourselves in such a case? Is there a world trademark search, and is it feasible to run?

Any help, advice or comments are appreciated. I left corporate Canada as a developer to do something fun and creative and get away from all the red-tape and legal crap and this just brings me right back...
