Has any startup got experience being a Microsoft Co-Sell Partner?

Looking for anyone to share their experiences..

How do you maximise the partnership and value?

As a technical co-founder/programmer who's beginning to build the team (about 4-5 people now).

Feel like need to transition from programmer to software engineer / CTO.

I can choose which course(s) to do - looking for suggestions.

Ideally it'd be 2-10 day course(s), anywhere in world is OK.

We have a Mac/PC bit of software (written in Unity3D).

We have built an auto-updater for it.

We need to be able to test different versions of our software with different versions of OSX/Windows, ideally with different proxy configurations.

Does anyone know of a cloud service that does this?

How has it been? Are you running your dB in Linux or Windows? Is dev a lot faster? Is it painful?

getting my startup going, just wondering about the value of a blog.

obviously if we do it we'll try to make it good and keep it up to date (i.e. i realize there is no point making a blog with no posts). and i also realise that marketing the blog is a big part of it, not just making some posts, if there are any tips on marketing that would be great too!

i've also read conflicting arguments (mainly re:SEO) about doing it self hosted on a /blog vs. a tumblr blog, any thoughts?

OSX has about 9% market share and has taken a long time to get there.

i don't think it is considered a massive failure

I've got a new software product to demo, i'm trying to work out the best way to do a '2 minute intro video' showing what it is.

I'm thinking that this will be on the front page of the website, so prospective customers get a quick look.

I've tried doing it in Prezi (too slow) and Camtasia (looks kind of budget) but i'm not happy with either.

Anyone got any suggestions or links to good demos ... (ideally low budget!!)

How would it work if, instead of pricing the Surface Pro at $899. Microsoft priced it either higher or lower and then varied it as sales came in.

e.g. First day it is released at $500

Sales spike, they increase price to $550 etc..

or they go in reverse:

e.g. First day they release at $1500

No sales, the decrease to $1450 etc...

I understand you'd probably increase buyer remorse if you came down in price, so maybe going up in price makes more sense.

You might lose some initial margin from early adopters but you'd be able to define the market better.
