Dear HN, is there a technical reason why phone makers can't disable loudspeaker audio on phones automatically when it's clearly travelling by train? Or just lack of initiative and will? Almost every time I take a train (Europe) someone is streaming their social media adventure on full volume to everyone on the carriage. It's noise pollution and it's so obnoxious.
I feel like increasingly I come across websites which hide the text and then progressively reveal it as you scroll the page. It makes for very irritating reading. Why are people attracted to this tedious gimmick, and is it on the rise?
