I'm looking for an API for categorized lists of public companies. Some of the examples of the lists are: IPOs 2016, Tech, Oil etc. If there's no existing API then any suggestions or ideas to automate the process are welcome.

What service or subscription do you use to stay up to date? Do you learn from services like TreeHouse, CodeSchool, EggHead.io, PluralSight, Lynda etc. I would love to hear and learn from your experiences.

I find it really hard/confusing to understand stocks and the market from the investing perspective. I'm a beginner in this domain. So, I keen to learn about it so that I can understand the technical details too. I did a search and found out that everybody is recommending "The Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Graham. I'm kind of person who likes to watch videos, so I also found couple of courses (paid) on Udemy but those aren't good and just wastage of money. I also found that Investopedia is an excellent resource. It contains a lot of good tutorials [0], guides [1] and videos [2].

You might have already learnt what I'm trying to. What's your story? It would be really nice if you can also share the resources that proved really useful to you.

I really want to learn about Machine/Deep Learning. I tried to start with some ML courses and online resources but I got intimidated when I saw that it required really good background in Maths. I do have basic intro to Calculus, but I don't know much. It seems to get really good at ML, you need to know a lot about Maths. I'm sure some of you have already crossed this hurdle, so I'm really interested to learn about your experience. I did google search and encountered this link[1] but by looking at the resources, it seems that it's a lot of ground to cover. I feel overwhelmed, so I'm just looking to cover the minimal ground.
