I happen to be in Dublin for the Node.js conference on September 8-13 and I'd love to visit any startup office or IT workplace there, maybe meet some passionate developers and share some ideas.

Also, I'd like to have a coffee with anyone or/and maybe hack a MVP during my stay there.

Also if anyone would recommend some cool places to see there and fun stuff to do I would really appreciate it ;)

I want to go 1 week in Dublin for the nodeconf and maybe hang out with some of you there. Anyone going? I plan 2 stay 1 week and maybe get some MVP going, who knows.

After a lot of research I have found that I can make a service that NSA can't do nothing against it and it is 100% secure. The solution is based on a math algorithm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamir's_Secret_Sharing I will bring this service to the world and everything will be saved :) Who is with me.?

Over the last weeks(since all the crazy stuff regarding the NSA) I was thinking of this startup that would be an anonymous social network. Well not 100% anonymous, your profile would be public/private with your data but everything you do and all your comments to other people will be anonymous(messages encrypted even in the database based on tokens). This would also validate the idea behind you will get real answers to your questions, real and honest feedback to your photos and so on. What do you guys think of this idea, is it a valid startup?

Yesterday I moved to iwantmyname.com and wanted to buy a couple of domains from them. After I bought 2 I wanted to buy the 3rd a .io domain and in the meanwhile I had to transfer some funds from my bank and ofc the transaction with iwantmyname.com failed. Ok that is fine, I got an email saying that the transaction failed and I looked at my dashboard and after that moved to other busy things and forgot about it. Meanwhile the strategy with the .io domain changed last night and I did not need that domain anymore. Everything ok until now ... but I get an email today saying I have bought the .io domain and sending me the invoice. They have charged my credit card. First I didn't even knew that they were storing my credit card info...why the hell would you do that anyway? As an experienced developer and a security freak I got really mad. I saw after on the dashboard that you can select to erase your credentials. Again I really do not understand why are they doing that?From what I know they could be storing them plain text or even if they are encrypting them I do not trust it...and the problem is not that I do not trust it, but that the site is really vulnerable and insecure...if someone hacks their database I bet they crack all the data because I know how hard is to secure sensitive data. This is the first issue with them...but the second and most important issue...why the hell wasn't I informed about being charged? I do not recall giving them permission for recurring payment. Iwantmyname.com should put their engineers to work because their security design is really poor. It is a recurring transaction for my bought domains because I know that my xxx domain will expire in 1 year and I am ok to bill me when it expires after I purchase it, but when a transaction fails why the hell would you want to retry billing? That is low low programming. I read a lot of good feedback on HN about them...has anyone had other bad experiences with them?

What project management tools and are you freelancers on HN use? Also how do you manage your client conversations because I have 1 client that sends me around 4-5 emails every day and my inbox gets cluttered.

Most of the time everyone talks about startups that made it and those that fail are forgotten, but is there a website where I can see more info about failed startups? There are a lot of talks on HN about failed startups but again most of them are forgotten and fade away.

I am thinking of building such a directory where the founder can post his story and lesson learned. Many blog about it, many don't even bother and move on but I think it is a valuable experience to share...I really think startup failure is a big topic and it is or it should be part of the Lean Methodology just before the pivoting...learn from mistakes...there should be tools to learn from mistakes...every aspect of the failure should be analyzed. Some people do this, but I think everyone who pivots should really analyze the failure just as much as analyzing the potential market.

So plz provide links if there is such a directory or tools for analyzing startup failure, if not I think I will make such a place as a side project.What do you think?
