Ask HN: Why is YouTube's recommendation system so bad?
I watch one Steve jobs video all year, happens to be last week. I don't need 30% of recommendations to be related to Steve Jobs from here on out.
Do they ever ask themselves why they can't filter out little signature logos when searching for emails that have attachments?

can anyone explain the benefits? to me, everything looks faded out, and rather than my eyes being able to pick up the letterforms I just perceive a field of gray and have to rely on plug-ins to get easily discernible text back.
why is every streaming service presenting its content in such a terrible way, where the only option is to scroll horizontally massive thumbnails?
