I'm CEO of Conversa AI, a new talent screening product. Our AI at that moment was chatting with candidates for a Remote Engineering role. Over the next few hours I,
- discovered highly unusual candidate behavior from ~21% of candidates who had been PreSelected during resume screening
- I wound up on screening calls with fraudulent applicants as I investigated further to understand what was going on (only humans at our customer's company's interact with candidates that we PreScreen, but this was an exceptional issue and didn't compromise the integrity of PreScreening or Hiring; customer is super happy with the engineer they hired)
- I shared my experience with one of my advisors (leader in cryptography) and wound up on a call with a cybersecurity investigator where I learned shocking details of North Korean efforts around applicant fraud and corporate espionage
I'm keeping our functionality for fraudulent applicants on the down low given the sensitivity of the issue. Reach out to chat.
