I'm looking to learn more about the PDF standard and how PDFs work from an engineering standpoint. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

I'm currently embedding PDFs using a simple iframe.

I can't use the Adobe PDF Embed API due to the legal requirements around our customer documents.

I'm looking into what the best options are regarding embedding a PDF with the ability to annotate and add highlighting and such (specifically highlighting excerpts we extract from the document).

I've looked into PDF.js, but it seems like it might be difficult to maintain. Apryse seems too enterprise focused for a startup. Foxit or PSPDFKit potentially?

Would love any recommendations or advice!

I used to have a cheap Yeti mic that was great for starting out, but I'm now looking to upgrade to something a bit nicer.

This is mostly for recording from my room – songs that I write or covers. I'm probably not looking to spend much more than $300 (under that would be great). I'm not looking to get a bunch of mics, so ideally it would be a fairly versatile one. Thanks!
