I built this tool that maps out every YC company worldwide. You can zoom into cities, explore clusters, and click to see details like batch, location, and website.
Why I made it? I thought it’d be fun to visualise it, using the same infrastructure I already use in my other project: FoundersAround

Now it’s happening again with FoundersAround. I launched it last June on PH. I had so much good feedback. Then, I tested some hypotheses, most of which failed.
Then, last week I almost threw the towel but the founders were so supportive and gave me so many good ideas that I decided to push it forward and keep going.
My takeaway: I don’t know. Launch more? Quit? lol
I’ve been experimenting with a simple map for founders to see who’s nearby and arrange things like coffee chats or coworking days. Some groups could be filtered (YC alumni, bootstrappers, local accelerators....).
I’m curious to know how you currently meet other founders in your area. Would a tool like this actually be useful, or do you find IRL meetings happening in other ways?
I’m thinking about adding group filters to the map, starting with YC founders, so you could:
• Instantly see which YC alumni are in your city • DM or arrange coffee meetups • Arrange coworking days with founders
