I often find myself finding tidbits of information in YouTube videos and wanting to share only these as a smaller video with only those passages.

I wish there was a way to highlight the transcript (several times ideally!) and have the tool create the video for me with only these passages.

Anything?

I created ScreenRun last year and it has been moderately successful: 6,000 signups, 2,000 paid licenses.

But maintaining it alone is not easy.

So I’m considering open sourcing it, but still maintain the paid, hosted version as is.

Have you had similar experiences and what’s your advice?

I noticed quite a few posts about PDFs (last today was about pdfscale) and wonder why they receive so many comments here on HN.

Are there problems with PDFs that are somehow making us all passionate about?
