Some devs say, you learn programming by reading code but sometimes reading is not enough. I want to learn story behind it (why it is written like that). Any repos with good articles providing history?

Looks like many of them have not caught my attention. Could you suggest some? No language is preferred(all suit).

Which one of these do you prefer to get a prosperous( high satisfaction with work-life balance not high paying) job? Why?

I want to discover new songs. But song radios suck in general. I might filter songs that are listened nigh on & above 10 millions. If the answer id yes, i might consider applying to job vacancies. thanks..

I annually gaze up the top links on HN to improve myself. Last year it returned 50 pages (I suppose). Today https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=pastYear&page=49&prefix=false&query=&sort=byPopularity&type=story link returns "We found no stories matching your query for this period." Is there anyone who can list top 50 pages? @dang could you provide them in an article? Thanks in advance.
