For those of you that don’t know Prenda, we’ve been running software-powered microschools in Arizona. We build full schools, aligned with state standards, just built for small groups and a small group experience.

When Coronavirus hit, we realized this model works just as well for parents who are suddenly in charge of their kids’ education from home.

Basically you can think of it as a homeschool in a box. Software, structure, curriculum, support, and community. It's a replacement for school, but without asking you to be a teacher. And all it takes is a computer or tablet and an internet connection.

Lots of people are learning js, html and css these days, but to make anything useful they have to download a framework and figure out the stack. Why can't they just post their html/css/js files somewhere and have a working app?

This could be a good time to force the change you want to see.

Lots of entrepreneurial potential is wasted because talented 30-somethings have a busy day job and a family, and can't find time for their side project. Would your CEO accept this offer: you get Fridays off to build your side project, and if it gets traction and turns into a real business, your employer gets a cut. Sort of a Y Combinator for mid-career people.
