I've noticed that most of the popular poker apps require that you download a program, vs. running solely as a web app.

Anyone have any idea why? Seems surprising to me.

Anyone have examples/a list of ISPs that are run or owned by local governments or municipalities? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

In your life what experience, product, service is just horrible? What is frustrating? What do you wish someone did better?

Some ideas: The DMV, Internet Speeds/Connectivity, ISP Service, etc.
