I love open source, I like collaboration more than competition.
At Mesosphere I worked at the forefront of the containerization ecosystem. I significantly contributed to DC/OS, especially to its security architecture.
Then I joined Opstrace as founding engineer. We built an observability distribution and got acquired by GitLab.

TL;DR: the removal of the feature was communicated through Google+, half a year ago. I came across this accidentally today and figured that it's worth sharing, because clearly the ecosystem adjusted to the feature, and now requires active cleanup. The worthless/distracting remains will exist for years, probably.
