I am an AIM bot developer and I made a cool bot that can help you search twitter over AIM, you can also follow users. BTW are there any chatbot developers that would like to work on some projects ?

I have a full time job as a systems administrator. During my free time I work developing AIM chatbots. I did this as a hobby because I wanted to create my own bots on AOL, I have created many bots. RSS AIM bots, Stock Quote and weather bots, Bots that will give you a quote or joke, and other Chatbots including a chatbot that gives you tips on how to save the environment.

I notice that my server is always busy answering to real human requests, I would say my bots get a lot of daily traffic from mostly teenagers and other people who are bored at their offices or home. I don't even advertise them that much they get around through word of mouth.

I am wondering how can I turn this into something that can help me make some cash.

I though about making bots for companies, I think there is a market for something like this. Any ideas on how I can take my side project to the next level ?

Like all of us here I try to keep up with technology news, startup news, and anything that can help me with my startup idea.

However, I also have been keeping an eye on the food crisis going on around the world. This is really something a lot of us probably ignore here in the US, but it is now actually affecting us with increased food prices and according to reports prices will continue to rise.

I typed the word food on google news and all the news are related to the world's first food crisis affecting the whole planet.

I am curious to know if you do your own systems administration or do you rely on hosted servers or friends to maintain your servers.

Please don't list personal computers with development environments you installed but actually full production servers where you run your code ?

I am only curious because I have always been curious about number of programmers who are also systems administrators or their application servers.
