I have an ebook reader (an old Kindle) and it works fine to read novels, but it's not practical to read programming books or similar.

I'm not planning on spending too much for a tablet, so I won't buy an iPad, I guess, but I'd like some suggestions if anyone uses to read manuals on some device and she/he is confortable with it.

Hi, can you suggest me some good tutorial, book or any other kind of resource to learn about good practice in database design? I know about http://database-programmer.blogspot.com/, which seems pretty good. Anything else?

Also: I'd like some software, tool or service (possibly free and on Linux) to display tables, their relations etc. Any suggestion?

Hi, with other two (or possibly more) guys I am going to build a web application. We live in three different cities and we would like to find a good way to work together.

We would like to use some version control system, but we are not sure that this would be a good idea for web development. I know about Git and I thought we could use Gitosis to make a repository on our server, but we think that this may slow down our work.

Often, when we have to adjust some code, or some graphics, we quickly modify something, save and refresh to see what happens. How can we accomplish this with Git/Gitosis?

How do you usually work in team and mantain code?

Hi, I'm working on a commercial software in c++ and Qt with other two friends.

We want to sell the software and distribute it with closed source.

Is the LGPL Qt license good for this? I mean, what are its restrictions? I've read something about static linking, but I'm not sure what it is.

We have just some doubts abot the Qt license. The commercial one costs just too much for us, so it is excluded. The GPL require that we distribute the source code.

What about the LGPL? Are we able to keed the source closed and sell the software? Which are the restrictions? I've read something about static linking, but I'm not sure what it means.
