I used to work at a place where we had Slack but that was around 4 years ago, bots were getting started. Wondering do you or your team use them? If so, what do you use that mainly for?

I have been wondering about this question for some time. To give context, I get it, the engineers and management at Netflix continuously evaluating (and it's not an easy task), but what's something holding them moving off of AWS like Dropbox?

Aren't they literally giving money to their competitor?

This is like the vim vs emacs of the current generation: Notion vs Evernote; Onenote vs Google Keep; etc.

I have tried different note-taking apps in the last 3 years. I understand there is no one silver bullet for this. I am curious to hear your thoughts about what worked and what didn't.

BTW, I am currently using https://joplinapp.org.

I was looking at https://privacy.com/. It seems like a great solution. Wondering what's the HN community's experience with them.

To be clear, looking to hear whats your preferred authentication method as an end-user (not as a developer).
