How many people out there have abandoned projects that were generating revenue / cash because they were never going to be big enough?<p>How much revenue / cash were they generating? (I say revenue / cash because I'm not counting businesses that had revenue but tons of expenses and never gave anything back)<p>Did you get anything for them, or just let them wind down?

Does anyone have any experience hiring a former private equity employee? Seems their background would give a good mix of evaluating industries / business models, as well as financial acumen to help you navigate cash needs in growth and negotiate with venture capitalists.

Any stories or knowledge in this area would be helpful.

Does anyone know of a site that aggregates all available MOOC courses?

Additionally, are there any sites that take a stab at helping you create a degree equivalent out of MOOC courses? Not from the perspective of getting credit for courses, but from the perspective of a list of courses that cover most/all the relevant content that you would cover if you studied the subject matter a traditional college?

MOOC's are prevalent in today's media and certainly offer significant volume of quality content in certain fields (some computer science disciplines). As an employer / manager, would you hire someone who was self taught using courses available through a MOOC?

If your answer is no, what is the main reason you would not be willing to hire them over a comparable person with a traditional bachelors degree?
