Ask HN: How was setting up EU VAT for you?
I am in the EU and I am mainly interested about the process for outsiders, since I'd like to be able to explain it to potential business partners in the future.

How should I determine how to count a content view?
For text, is it a mere visit? What about multimedia, should there be some threshold of watched/listened length before a view is counted?
How about repeated visits? Should they count the same or should there be a window where multiple views are counted as one?
What if user keeps refreshing the page to increase view count?
Should one user be counted always as just one view?
etc... any tips on this topic?
Also "sign up" has replaced "register" and "create account".
Does anybody know why?
How can I survive being targeted like this? Cycling IP addresses and updating DNS ad infinitum does not seem like viable solution... because in the end, it's the network attacks that get you, not the application level attacks.
Yesterday I made another order and today I noticed the discrepancy again. This time there were no discounts or coins involved, it was just wrong. I see the large amount in the order itself but e-mail and in message notification i see the lower amount, just like with the previous orders. I have contacted the support again, but it was useless eve nwhen I provided screenshots. The order got shipped and it was only little over €1 so I can live with that but I will not accept this behavior willingly going forward. So I am wondering whether I am alone in this or they indeed have a bug in their system?
