I currently have a day job as an Estimator, run a side business doing design/architectural work, and am contemplating studying for an IT degree in the hope of replacing the day job with something I'm more interested in such as a Sys Analyst.

I'm from the UK but currently reside in NYC and am a permanent resident.

I'd sincerely appreciate some guidance on how to go about doing this. Specifically, what courses and certifications are the most sensible to pursue?
