Now, I'd like to improve the website and make it even more useful for people who are searching for conferences. Current list of features to add:
- searchable list of speakers and presentations
- indicate if the conference will record / stream the presentations
- what weather can you expect during the conference
- rating / experience from the past visitors
What else do you look for when choosing which conference to attend?
Stack Overflow data shows that job ads with salary receive 75% more clicks. https://stackoverflow.blog/2016/07/salary-transparency/#75. Other job sites are reporting 20% - 30% increase in job applications for ads with salaries.
I'd really like to buy her a computer. What I'm concerned about is that sooner or later she'd come across the sites that could be harmful for her.
I don't think using web filters is the right way to go and I obviously can't spend all the time with her in her room.
Those of you who are parents, how do you handle that? Do you limit the time kids can spend on the internet? Do you restrict the computer usage to a common living area where you can follow what's going on?
