Singapore has a contact tracing app, but we all could use one, if we get into proximity with someone else (with the app) for a number of seconds and close distance it logs it, if a person gets sick he logs it in the app and all people who got into contact the last x days receive a warning. as far as i know it does not exist yet. Companies could ask all employees to install the app.

We Launched the rebuild of freesurveycreator.com today

History : FreeSurveyCreator.com was started by @WillEWallace as a side project with good base traction but he could not find the time to continue to develop it We took over the service and relaunching today Major changes : - Rewrite from Ruby to PHP - Moved from Heroko to Google App engine (My first project here) - Restructured the datamodel to accommodate future evolutions - updated id from nrs to hashes for better privacy

I have a number of colleagues that need to be brought up to speed in terms of the evolution the last years in terms of cloud platforms and webservices. some people are still assuming that its normal to setup physical hardware and batch services. Could you advice and what blog/book would be able to explain in light technical wording what exists in the current age and how it changed development/ops. topics like : - All the different IT services Amazon are offering - Cloud application platforms like Heroku & Google Appengine - Openstack for private clouds - Publishing webservices / plugins / - single sign-on /identity management services

Like a number of other companies we are building a product around email handeling, especially for people interacting with customers ...

question is : what would provide more value ?

- saving 20% effort by auto qualifying email (doing a better job tracking conversations)

- allowing for an email client to (better)integrate with ERP tools ... saving time in looking up data

what would you prefer and why ?
