As the title says I’ve been working for about a month on a SaaS startup project that pretty much originated from a Reddit post that went viral. A bit of context: A few months ago I started working on a python algorithm that takes people data (linkedin & other sources) and turns them into organizational charts (example: https://i.ibb.co/swCt7Z6/image.png). I coded this for an organizational research class, but I though that it could potentially be useful in business too, to understand clients' organization and/or for organizational benchmarking. I shared the project on the r/consulting sub (link below) and it got a great response, with 450+ upvotes and lots of comments. This really positive reaction inspired me to get to work and build out the product.

Now that the product is testable (I have about 100 users on the beta, mostly from Reddit) I’m wondering about distribution next steps. I’ve been thinking about a launching on PH, perhaps share the project on Reddit and maybe also create some youtube videos to demo the product and build some audience over time.

What would you recommend for a launch/ growth strategy at this early stage?

As the title said, I built an python algorithm that takes people data (linkedin & other sources) and turn them into an organizational chart. I coded this for an organizational research class, but I though that it could potentially be useful to sales people too, to understand clients' organization.

Right now the script takes into account mainly the person's job title and the location. Job titles are matched against a library of macro positions, to understand the functional role. Location is normalized and then used to identify offices, countries and regions and group accordingly. These data are then used to draw the org chart, with a best guess of the lines of reporting.

The script takes the company domain as input. Then it queries the data it needs and draw out the org chart (see output example below - visualization of the sales org of a 500 people tech co). The visualization is pretty basic right now - essentially a python printout - but I'm sure it could be made better.

The code is now local on my laptop, but I can open source it if useful. Would you find this useful?

I kind of struggle uderstanding this and really curious to hear why. I saw many projects being posted/ showcased here on HN which got an incredibly low traction despite being at the very edge of technology/finance/game theory.

TLDR HN doesn't care about crypto/Defi. Why?

As the title says, I built a tool that allows you to buy a constant amount of ETH (with DAI) at regular intervals. For example, if you decide to buy 100DAI worth of ETH every week, dca.land will send 50 DAI from your wallet to Uniswap, swap them with ETH at the current price & send them back to your wallet, and will do this once per week.

I built this as a side project for personal use and I’ve been using it to automate ETH purchases for a while, but I though this may be useful to others too. Right now I’m also providing the relayer service, however anyone can become a relayer really.

So far the system has proved reliable, however consider this as a beta version. Also, the smart contract HAS NOT been audited, so test it at your own risk. If you have feedback or thought I’d love to hear them!

As the title says, I built a little editor that allows you to easily create a personal/project page, sell products and and collect payments in ETH. Customers can simply buy via Metamask.

The project stemmed from my experience with uniswaproi.com, where I allow users to purchase paid plans with Metamask. It has been working great.

I hope this will be useful for some of you experimentaing with web3 and connected business models! If you give it a spin and have any comments or feedback, I'd love to hear them!

As per title: I program since I was 14 on various languages, but don't have a formal CS education. My coding skills served me well as I was able to build a saas product and company which we sold a few months ago - so I'm pretty happy with them. However, I'm self taught and I never quite worked as part of a large professional team, so my knowledge of code management/ git/ cicd practices and generally "working as a team on the same code" really sucks. Is it just me or common to other with a similar experience? What's the best place to up my game in this area?

As per the title, Today I just introduced a couple of paid options for my Saas and I just recorded the first payment, for a yearly Pro plan ($150).

The tool is in the niche of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and allows users to calculate their returns when investing in Uniswap, a (super-interesting) protocol which is getting pretty popular within the Ethereum community. I launched it as a totally free product in June, got some initial traction, and now trying to find a model to make it sustainable and develop it further. DeFi is still very small, but with high growth potential I believe.

I’ve created so far 3 plans: Basic (free), Pro (1 ETH/year, about $150) and Large Investors (5ETH/year, about $750). They differ in terms of features as well as for the number of analysis allowed.

Wanted to share this with you. Any consideration/ pitfall to avoid when moving from free to paid?

Hey guys, I wanted to ask your feedback on my weekend project, especially if you run an ecommerce/dropshipping store before.

Showparcels is a tool for dropshippers/eCommerce stores to create a branded shipment tracking page for their customers. It also allows to display related products on the order tracking page for up/cross-sell customers when they visit it to check their delivery status. Since many people check the tracking pages very often, you get quite a lot of free traffic you can use to try to convert them again. You are also able to implement your Facbook pixel or any other retargeting pixel on the page. The owner also has an admin panel to check how many orders are in transit and ho many have been delivered.

I've integrated multiple tracking APIs to get shipments data, so it basically works with all the major 600 carriers worldwide.
