I am developing an app where I need to provide a list of all the schools, universities, and training centers based on location. Are there databases available with such information that I can obtain for free or paid? Any help in general for obtaining such information will be appreciated.

We are building web services (APIs) which can be used within iPhone apps for data synchronization. I was wondering which one is generally better: SAX parsing or DOM-style parsing in the iPhone app. There is no dependency and we can chose any but I am confused whether to chose the easy one (SAX), as it is sequential and not a memory hog like DOM. Any particular reasons to chose DOM if you dont need to?

I have a product which asks user to register. I want to integrate an automated referral system into the emails I send out to my existing customers so that if they refer my app to any of their friends and the friends purchase it, both the friend and them get some discount. I checked zferral and hasoffers but both of them are for affiliates. I am looking for a easily integrable referral system like vonage to keep track.
