I'm pretty sure these were bought for a Kindle device. I haven't used a Kindle in many years. I inquired about younger relatives but none of them are at the age where they have the ability to type an email address or use apps for pre teen girls.
Anyway, I contacted Amazon and no one was technical enough to have a conversation. They offered to close the account without explanation. Eventually, they sent me a password reset link and I was able to request an account closure.
The account was empty save the apps and a subscription to a newspaper.
Do you think they just allowed an account to be open without email confirmation? Very weird.
My problem is it's shared on Twitter, but it has bugs and it's not good enough to begin marketing yet. I'm learning Swift to build the 2nd version, but I'm not an iOS coder, so the build is slow going. I've had a ton of feedback and I have the design and features of the next version planned.
Should I pursue seed funding? Should I apply to an accelerator? Should I look for a partner to help with coding? I don't have much money, but should I hire someone? I've looked at the analytics and the market segment is pretty clear. It makes me a little nervous to see the social sharing without much real ability to capitalize on it. I'm not sure how long Buffer will keep it in the suggested articles rotation (although it seems like it's been 6 months now). It's shared on Twitter and LinkedIn almost everyday for at least 3 months. I feel like the opportunity is slipping away.
I may be overreacting, but hopefully you can understand my anxiety. You can see the shares by searching Twitter for "rememberwinapp.com".
I want feedback on my app, and I'd like to make a little money back from it, but it's my first app and I need to test the idea.
Would adding in-app purchases later be a waste of time because traffic will be low? Should I just release now at a low price? It's a personal productivity app. I plan on getting most of my traffic from blogging as the app represents something I've cared a lot about for a long time.
I plan to Show HN soon, and I think I'd get more feedback if it was free vs. $1 or $3.
