I did a search for this on HN before posting and didn't find anything. So if this question has been asked in the past I apologize.

My question is simple. What is the best way to advertising a startup for little to no money? Currently my startup is in the "Coming soon" stage, and taking emails from people for updates. I apologize if this isn't enough information, I'm new to this. This is my first "startup" so take it a little slow with me.

This a bit of a weird question so please let me know if you need more information.

For a side project I am working on I need to ability to generate advertising on a specific page based on a specified domain. I have looked a bit and haven't found anything that really fits this so I'm hoping someone here has a service like this or can push me in the correct direction. I'm not super interested in finding my own advertiser/rolling my own solution currently (not to say it wont happen in the future), looking for more of an out of the box solution.

Clarification: The advertising on this page will be generated based upon the referral URL. So in other words instead of the advertising content being contextual to the page it is delivered on.. it is contextual to a domain/URL.

I have a side project I'm working to launch in the next month or so. I'm a developer, code is my thing. And if you ask my daughter she will tell you, I can't even draw a stick figure... So my question is, what is the best solution to the lack of design skill and getting a nice yet cheap design for a side project?
