I am looking for something more minimal. Game programming from scratch approach. Like the early days when people used to write programs in BASIC building all the graphical components and audio tones step by step.
Is there something available today? My requirements:
- No game engine.
- Portable technology. I should be able to share my game with users on other platforms and systems.
- A good learning resource to begin learning game programming from scratch.
- Support for graphics and sound.
Any help will be appreciated.
B can also be anything.
So I want to know if you were a big constant user of something (like Vim) for many years and then you went from Vim to Vscode for some years but returned to Vim again.
If you went this path can you share your experiences? Why you left Editor A first? Why you returned to it again?
I know Python, Common Lisp and Scheme but I find myself reaching out for Python every time I have to write a quick and dirty hack. This is due to more familiarity with Python which makes me more comfortable with Python. What are your experiences? Maybe it will convince me to go all in and use Lisp all the time. :-)
I am trying to decide which of these two services I should use to add "Sponsor" link for my open source project.
Are there any gotchas about each service that I need to be aware of? Does one have any advantages over the other?
