I've been thinking up a lot of ideas of late, which involve some sort of community voting. As always, the problem with voting is voting rings.

I had the thought that if I could come up with so many ideas which would require a voting ring detector, maybe others would as well, and that got me thinking of building one out as a service.

This post is targeted at people who would need something like that, as well as people who manage any community of any sort. Do you think this is something that would be useful, and would you pay for it?

Hi HN, Here's the background. I've been working in software in India for the past 8+ years. About 2 years ago, I got promoted to a Software Dev Manager role, and I have been performing it quite successfully.

However, I am now looking out for opportunities in other companies for a similar role. I have had about 4 interviews till now, and it's not progressed to offers. I think the issue is that whenever I am asked how I would solve any people problem, my solution for that (for almost any scenario) is something along the lines of 'talk to the people involved, figure out the root cause and try to address it'.

I am not exactly sure what else I am expected to say, because that is literally exactly how I have been resolving these issues for the past 2 years. Is there something I'm missing completely?
