I was wondering if any one would be interested in a fun small Xmas project that scans your facebook/twitter profile picture and then uses the Face.com (http://developers.face.com/) API to 'censor' your face with some small text at the bottom of the picture saying you're against SOPA.
It then reposts it as your profile picture and of course the app would allow you to share the censored picture on your social networks of choice via a tweet or wall post.
And if you are a REAL bad ass: You could even build a browser plugin that censors anything/everything on the websites you visit.
I would do it but leaving country tomorrow (w./o. a computer) till the new year and am still a n00b programmer, so I thought someone on HN would be interested in doing it instead.
Happy hacking & holidays!!
tl;dr Build an app that scans your facebook/twitter profile picture censors (blacks out) your face and sets the censored version as your profile picture to show that you're against SOPA
How long did it take you to reach your "ah-ha" moment when you first learned how to program? And how/what did you get to that point?
P.S. Would love to hear some exercises you did to apply what you were learning.
When would you expect (if at all) to see a Kinect based startup?
1) Simple straight forward sign-up now page. such as: www.localmind.com and www.dayri.me
2) Content driven splash page. Such as: www.webpop.com and www.thinkfuse.com
So my question is: Which one is more effective? And why?
Thanks in advanced!
So my question to everyone is; as a student what should I look for in a CTO in regards to education, more specifically should I look at people in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering?
Thanks a TON in advanced!
