Like it will help me think critically/out of the box/ creatively and broaden my horizons rather than answering like a sycophant?

Recently all the core team members have left the company and only the remaining senior engineer and offshore employee ( me and another engineer) is left and the core engineer will also be going away soon.
Manager is asking us (offshore team) to figure the stuff out ourselves as the core engineer will soon leave too.
In this case how can I take the opportunity to up my game and take more ownership of the system. Any advice about the whole situation?
My wife and I are both Software Engineers with 5 years of experience each.We are from Bangladesh. We're considering relocating to one of the following countries: Canada, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, New Zealand, Malaysia, or Thailand. We're seeking advice on navigating the job market and visa processes in these regions.
We've heard that software engineering is in demand in these countries, which might help us secure jobs that offer visa sponsorship. If anyone has experience working in these countries as a software engineer, particularly with securing job offers and visas, we'd love to hear about your experiences. What was the timeline like for you? Were there any specific challenges or tips you found helpful?
Additionally, any insights on settling in, understanding work culture, or other practical tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your advice and insights!
