I have been looking on the usual job sites but no luck. Who is hiring for a Junior Rails dev?

I am new to Rails and I have been looking around for companies that work with it but it seems like nobody is hiring for Rails devs. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place or I'm in the wrong place.

Anybody know if there are any companies hiring Rails devs especially ones that are new to the framework?

Is there any thing similar for folks no longer in school?

So I have been looking for a spot for the folks taking the Startup Engineering class through Coursera to meet and discuss the class, do homework,etc.

If anybody has a meeting room or something they can lend us after 6pm, at least once a week, and big enough for 20+ people that would be awesome!

Where is everybody staying especially those who do not have a car and do not plan to rent?

I am coming into the San Jose airport and I have no clue where to book a place.
