I'm looking to launch a new community based site soon and was wondering about writing my Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.. should I ask a lawyer to write it? Write it myself then show a lawyer? Or am I good on my own?

Are sites like TermsFeed.com worth it for the money?

Launching my community based startup in a couple weeks. It's a rails app. I'm a frontend dev and found a great guy on HN to help with the backend. Figured instead of trying to perfect it, I should launch and go from there. Any tips for me? Feeling anxious about it, but I'm prepared to fail or succeed.

I want to make a website like woot.com or shirt.woot.com where I schedule one limited product per day and only sell one product per day. Once the 24 hours ends, the product isn't available to purchase anymore and the product for the next day appears and becomes available for purchase and so on. What is the easiest way to do something like this?

Shopify? Stripe JS Widget? Something else?

I signed a contract with a developer for X amount of hours of work. He completed the hours and I sent him the first payment, haven't heard from him since. Is this usual? I asked if he is interested in continuing work or should I find a new dev a week ago with no reply. Really don't want to stall on the project and it's close to being ready for launch.

Found him on HN through the freelancer thread. Any suggestions of a place to find good affordable developers for Django? I'm a front end designer, but need help with the back end on my project. Thanks.
