- Ongoing thread with original sender of an e-mail - About 5 replies later I draft a reply, but only click save - “From” was not the main e-mail, it was an additional address added to Gmail
The e-mail is not in my sent folder. The only reference to my message is a draft within the thread. It was not sent by me, however the recipient received my e-mail plain and clear.
Obviously Gmail is a pretty big thing and contacting them isn’t super simple. But what happened is a major concern for me as there are plenty of draft e-mails wherein I’m seeking approval before sending. It’s like drafting obituaries… but I can’t use them until the time comes.
Has anyone else had this happen?
Is there a way I can raise this issue with Google? Since it’s a freebie service for the most part I can’t expect any one-on-one support, but at the very least I would like to let them know of this issue. Sadly, I can’t replicate it which is why I’ve turned to HN in hopes I’m not alone.
It seems there is an endless supply of competitors out there and as always they’re trying to undercut you. Price is important to some, while value to others. Competitors claim to offer the ‘same’ thing at $5 less. Perhaps this is just the nature of the beast. Happy to say I haven’t lost many to such a thing but nevertheless I feel it’s time to turn up the heat on client thieves.
What’s everyone doing to make this happen? I suppose being dependent on proprietary frameworks could certainly be one way to go about it… but that just feels wrong, right from the get-go. Any suggestions?
