Hey, if you're reading this, then I guess I should put something here. I worked with (mostly) military aircraft as avionics tech/ (later)engineer for about 18 years. Got bored, started working in Consumer Electronics, then manufacturing, then ... back to embedded systems. Love realtime challenges.

Has anyone on HN ever used RTE-6?

What is it? It is a real time operating system for the HP-1000 "mini" computer. The HP-1000 was in vogue for smallish companies in the '80s and it is the system they used to teach programming languages in my HS.

I didn't come into contact with the OS till much, much later.

Has anyone else on HN ever worked with this operating system?
