Hello. I've recently picked up learning Rust. I'm especially interested in using Rust in embedded programming. Reading this right now - https://docs.rust-embedded.org/discovery/microbit/

How far has Rust come in embedded programming? Anyone working on something interesting in this area? What's the job market like? Any advice for amateur programmers like me trying to land a job in this?

Lately I've come to the realisation that practically all digital content that's out there depends on ad revenue as a major source of revenue. I feel like we've absolutely messed up the entire digital ecosystem with ads. Why aren't there other sustainable revenue models? What caused this in the first place? What can we do to make this better? Do ads actually work? Personally I rarely buy/subscribe to stuff I see on an ad.

I keep dreaming of an internet that doesn't run on ad. I just can't stop thinking about how exciting that would be. No ads. No sponsorship. What do you have to say?

Hello, I came across this [1] article about Framework recently. This got me wondering about what firmware programming languages/softwares people use these days. Do we have a widely used language that is used to build firmwares for many/most embedded devices? Where do I learn this language?

Some articles and sites recommend complete charging and discharging cycles (i.e. charge to 100% and discharge to 0-10%) while others recommend charging up to just 80% and discharge to 20% and recharge again. What do the latest research say? How do I get the most out of my battery?
