On the technical side I'm interested in suggestions regarding:
* Open Source / Community Projects
* Companies / Organisations / Startups working on promising innovative research or products in disruptive sustainability
On the community / activist side, I'm looking for:
* Activist groups that lobby for change and sustainable practices, where computer science skills might be able to contribute
* EU / UN projects where such a skillset might be useful
Any other general advice welcome. I'm tired of writing code for ad-tech while the world burns, and I suspect there are others like me who would like to get more involved, hence this post.
However, I do not seem to be able to come up with any half-decent ideas. Everything seems to be out there already.
How do you guys come up with ideas? Do you recognise the feeling of eagerly wanting to work on something but yet not being able to truly love anything enough to put effort into it?
So, my question. How did you guys come up with your ideas that you are working on now? Was it sudden or did you have this idea growing in your mind for a while?
Best, Andrew
