Crypto is making news again after FTX going bust but being a beginner I fail to understand one thing. Why are people still trading over central exchanges? Wasn't it the very same philosophy on which bitcoin and blockchain in general was founded, that we don't trust central authority as they are prone to fraud and going bankrupt? Ain't we supposed to "own" our money and have zero dependence on any central agency?
Same way, I noticed that Coinbase is now asking for my personal details in order to "verify" my account. Wasn't crypto all about anonymity?
Hope it's not a very naive question.
I have a budget of about $50K to spend on building the product. I suppose, I have following options - Learn to code myself and build an MVP (Doesn't appear to be a practical choice) - Hire an outsourcing agency (or freelancer). Tell them my requirements and give them money. Looks practical one but have heard not so great feedback about this approach. - Hire a few technical people myself and build the product. - Find a CTO. Have tried doing it and failed.
Is there any 5th option which I am missing? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have been able to understand following things about Agile - Too much planning is a waste of time. Rather, just figure out the next important thing and get down to work. - Do things incrementally. For example, when building a software, rather building things in parts, build a smallest possible functional system and deliver it to it's user and then extend it feature by feature. (In contrast to other approaches, where you build things part by part ) - Respond on feedback rather than planning everything in advance. - Communication over documentation
However, what are the general principle of this methodology and how do we apply to projects other than software. How do we really solve world problems, the agile way?
