Like ssh's forward agent, but for vimrc and related files. So that when I ssh into a server and use vim to edit a file, it uses my local configuration?

We're sitting on mounds of data and we need someone to help us analyze and make this data useful.

We aren't even sure where to start when describing the qualifications of a great data scientist. What are the common tools used? Is data scientist even the correct term? Can anyone provide examples of great job descriptions for data scientists?

Something like archive.org but for rf spectrum. I'm not even sure if its legal, but I was playing with my SDR the other day and thinking of all the historical information that passes over the airwaves that is ephemeral. Being able to view this data after a major event would be amazing. Imagine listening to all the radio information as 9/11 transpired or during the coup attempt in turkey.

Obviously this couldn't be done everywhere all the time, but it would be interesting to be able to archive radio spectrum during major events.

What are the best methods you've found for determining whether a person is A) qualified and B) a good fit for the company culuture?

Do code tests work well? Is there some saas product that can help test engineers? Some other method i've never heard of?
